Reverend Gordon Cook, son(or possibly Grandson) of Violet Crookall(I know she married a Cook)
Worked atSt Pauls Stafford Uniting Church(mum's friend Marcel attended), CNR MInimine St and Webster Rd 07-33569465 Tue, Wed, Thur 9AM-2PM for (about 3months according to lady from there I spoke to on phone on 23/04/08. He was apparently in between ministers. She remembers him as he was so lovely. he took them on a Church family picnic and make sandwiches all day to help out in the church one day and attended Crossroads, a disability group, meetings.
He is fondly remebered. )
He is probably about 87 now if still alive, but its is thought he is deceased. He lived at Wilston and had a meeting of Crookalls at Newfarm Park about 30 years ago? My Mother Norma and grandmother , Irene attended. My Mum says there were Crookalls from NZ there.
Rev Cook had paid a researcher in England to trace back the Crookall name, and they got back to Rufford. He also must have found Crookalls in NZ in one line too.
Norma think he is retired to the Gold Coast and the lady at the church thought Cleveland. I did phone the ONLY Cooks at Cleveland in the phone book today but they are not related and have only moved here in the past 2 years from NZ.
Lady at church may ring back if she finds out anything about his descendants as they must have a lot more detail on NZ and other current Crookall family descendants.
